50 Cent backs Trump: ‘I don’t want to be 20cent’ under Biden

Rapper 50 Cent on Tuesday confirmed that he’s backing President Trump for re-election, saying he could become “20 Cent” under Democrat Joe Biden’s plan for higher taxes.

“Yeah, i don’t want to be 20cent. 62% is a very, very, bad idea. i don’t like it !” the Queens-raised rapper, born Curtis James Jackson III, wrote on Twitter.

His latest tweet featured a clip from Fox News, with Trump campaign adviser Katrina Pierson quoted making the joke about changing his name.

The “P.I.M.P.” singer’s unexpected endorsement of the Republican incumbent comes two weeks before the Nov. 3 election as Trump tries to broaden his support among black voters, especially by highlighting Biden’s role writing 1980s and ’90s legislation that contributed to the “mass incarceration” of minorities.

Trump’s campaign is hopeful that increased support among black voters — and also among Hispanics, targeted with anti-socialism appeals — will offset alleged decreased support for Trump detected in polling among elderly voters concerned about the COVID-19 pandemic.

In an online post Monday, the 45-year-old 50 Cent urged fans to “VOTE For TRUMP” after he reviewed Biden’s tax plan.

Biden supports raising tax rates for corporations and people making $400,000 or more per year, reversing part of Trump’s 2017 tax law that reduced the top federal rate for individuals from 39.6 percent to 37 percent.

The rapper posted an image from a CNBC broadcast that indicated New Yorkers could face combined federal and state tax rates of 62 percent.

“WHAT THE F–K!” he wrote. “(VOTE ForTRUMP) IM OUT, F–K NEW YORK.”

He added: “The KNICKS never win anyway.”

50 Cent then wrote: “I don’t care Trump doesn’t like black people 62% are you out of ya f–ing mind.”

The Biden campaign did not immediately respond to a request for comment.
