ADELE once admitted to blacklisting anybody who criticised her size before her dramatic “three stone weight loss”.
The 31-year-old star wowed fans when she showed off her trim figure at Drake’s swanky birthday party earlier this week.
Admitting that she’d swapped “tears” for “sweat” in a candid social media post, Adele looked slimmer than ever in a stunning off-the-shoulder dress.
However, shedding the pounds has never been a priority for the singer, who has always insisted that she isn’t at all “insecure” about her appearance after shooting to fame in 2008.
She even revealed that she’d refuse to work with anybody who had an issue with her size, telling People magazine at the time: “Even when I was signing a contract, most of the industry knew if anyone ever dared say: ‘Lose weight’ to me, they wouldn’t be working with me.”
She showed similar spirit in 2009, telling the Daily Mail: “I can’t be a product; no one can do that to me. I have all the say; I have power over everything I do.”
In 2012, Chanel’s Karl Lagerfeld blasted Adele as “a little too fat”, with the defiant singer replying at the time that she is “very proud” of her appearance, adding: “Weight has nothing to do with my career.”
Although she has always been body confident, the mother-of-one was forced to change her lifestyle in 2011 after she suffered a vocal haemorrhage.
Admitting that she was “frightened” about permanently damaging her voice, Adele cut out her sugary cups of tea, alcohol, cigarettes, caffeine, and spicy food.
Before her 2016 tour, Adele upped her fitness regime to “get some stamina” telling Rolling Stone magazine that while she doesn’t “enjoy” the gym she is a fan of lifting weights.
She lost a stone by the following year, with the MailOnline revealing that she’d embraced the Sirtfood diet, which promotes eating plant foods like kale and buckwheat to suppress appetite and “activate the body’s ‘skinny gene’”.
A source told the publication: “The Sirtfood Diet is all about losing weight and feeling fantastic through eating great-tasting food.
“It’s based on extensive research into the power of key plant foods, which when added to our diet turn on fat burning and improve wellbeing.”
And the star’s split from husband Simon Konecki in April of this year saw Adele shift even more weight after she took up Reformer Pilates with pal Ayda Field.
A source close to the star told The Sun Online at the time: “Adele has been out enjoying herself and she sees that as her priority at the moment, along with being a mum to Angelo.
“She has been loving her new workout regime and it really works for her.
“It’s a bonus that she has shifted some weight.

“Her mates are glad she’s letting loose and there’s nothing but good feelings towards her. She’s got a new lease of life.”
The Mirror have reported that Adele has now lost an impressive three stone, with the singer sharing a photo from Drake’s party earlier this week alluding to her body transformation.
Posting a close-up snap of her pout, Adele added the caption: “I used to cry but now I sweat” before going on to pay sweet tribute to her pal on his 33rd birthday.
