Dr Yury Chernikov, 60, has been jailed after the brutal sex attack on fashion designer victim Erika Bykova.
She could not scream out as a result of being under anaesthetic during the horror ordeal.
But Chernikov will serve just three years and two months behind bars after getting time off his sentence in exchange for paying Ms Bykova, 33, £11,600 in compensation.
She bravely waived her right to anonymity in a bid to publicly demand justice after Chernikov claimed the sex was consensual – despite the fact she was under anaesthetic and could not talk.
“He allowed himself to do things that a doctor must not do”
Prosecutors at court in Samara, Russia, had demanded the married grandfather serve five years behind bars.
Mum-of-one Ms Bykova told of her ordeal in a TV interview, denying she agreed to sex moments after her op.
“I was moaning because I couldn’t scream,” she told the shocked audience.
And she revealed how she was “helpless” as Chernikov “allowed himself to do things that a doctor must not do.”
“He raped me,” she said.
“At that moment I could understand everything but my eyelids were very heavy, I even couldn’t open them fully.
“I tried to push him away with my legs but I couldn’t do that.
“I absolutely trusted the doctor.
“I trusted him with my life and body.”
Chernikov claimed ahead of his trial that the victim told him she was “feeling good” and didn’t try to stop him during the ordeal.
But the anaesthetist told state-funded NTV channel: “Another organ was doing the thinking.”
He admitted: “Obviously, five minutes after everything happened, I was terrified.
“And I realised my children, my grandchildren, my wife would never forgive me.”
But Chernikov’s wife, Tatiana, insisted her husband was not a rapist, telling reporters: “He just showed weakness.
“He showed weakness as a man.”
