ARSENAL are lining up a summer swoop for Eibar ace Joan Jordan who has been identified as the perfect replacement for Aaron Ramsey.
Unai Emery is on the lookout for a central midfielder with the Welsh maestro to link up with Juventus at the end of the season on a free transfer.
And with reports that the Gunners will only have a transfer budget of £40million should they fail to qualify for the Champions League, Jordan fits the bill as a cheap option.
The 24-year-old – who is tied down at the La Liga side until 2020 – has a release clause of just £12.8m.
According to Marca, Arsenal have been closely monitoring the player – who has chipped in with three goals and four assists in 29 games this campaign.
They claim that Eibar are willing to cash in on the Catalonia international to avoid losing him on a pre-contract in January.
While they also state that Jose Luis Mendilibar’s club will sit down with Arsenal to hold talks over his possible departure.
It is expected to be a busy summer at the Emirates – with a number of players set to be offloaded to make room for new recruits.
