IT’S on course to be one of the most popular movies of all time.
But it all proved too much for one Avengers super-fan when they were reportedly taken to hospital after sobbing uncontrollably through ‘Endgame’ which led to them hyperventilating.
The film, whose A-list cast includes Chris Hemsworth and Robert Downey Jr, has smashed opening-weekend records – raking in around £1bn globally.
It broke records for a foreign film in China – yet the hype surrounding the movie’s release apparently proved too much for one 21-year-old woman.
According to News International, she cried through the film and ended up struggling to breathe which resulted in her being taken to hospital.
Doctor Yuan Liyan, who treated the woman at Ningbo Mingzhou Hospital, was quoted as saying: “I saw that the patient had been breathing heavily, and according to the description from her peers, we thought that her crying had caused hyperventilation.
“We immediately gave her oxygen…reducing her hyperventilation symptoms.”
Chinese outlet BJ News released a short clip which apparently showed the woman being treated in the hospital.
On Saturday we reported how an Avengers fan reportedly beat a man outside a cinema in Hong Kong for revealing the film’s ending.
‘Endgame’ set a new weekend record in China where it made £260m.
In one fell swoop, it has already made more than films such as ‘Skyfall’, ‘Aquaman’ and ‘The Dark Knight Rises’ grossed in their entire runs.
