THE lawyer of a British teenager believes she is the victim of ‘revenge porn’ after a video circulated online of her having consensual sex with three men despite originally claiming she had been raped by all 12 members of the group in Ayia Napa.

The 19-year-old originally told police she had been raped by the Israeli men in the party resort on July 17 but later change her statement and is facing now a ‘public mischief’ charge as well as multi-million pound lawsuit.

Andreas Pittadjis, the lawyer representing the Brit, slammed the spread of a sex video and other messages between her and other members of the group which could be used as vital evidence during the case.

He told the Sun: ”I want to know who put the video and the messages online.

“These were supposed to be private messages and now the whole world has seen them.

”This is what really bothers me about the case what my client is accused of is serious but the more serious offence is the spreading online of all this material.

”These 12 boys are being treated as heroes but the Internet is now flooded with images and texts of this young lady.

“This is much more serious and nobody is doing anything about it.”

The girl, who cannot be named, initially told police earlier this month she had been gang raped by a group of Israelis at the Pamabas Napa Rocks hotel in Ayia Napa.

Cops held the twelve for nine days before releasing them after the girl changed her story and said she had consensual sex with three but became angry when others started filming.

There was also no DNA evidence linking any of the men to the alleged attack.

Yesterday she appeared in court to face the charge but the case was adjourned for a week to allow her defence time to read through police and prosecution documents.

Judge Tonia Nicolaou told the court:”Due to the young woman’s lies, 12 young people were arrested in vain and this has a severe impact on the young people’s future – who have experienced trauma.”

The lawyer also confirmed the girl’s mother was in court and added:”After reading through the documents and discussing with my client I will advise her how to plead.”

VIDEO EVIDENCE

One of the 12 men who were freed, Yisrael David, later told reporters after landing back in Israeli that the girl had agreed to have sex with him and several others after they spent the night partying together.

He said that he had shared the video with police to prove his innocence and in a interview claimed that she did not ‘shout for help or look like she was suffering’, according to Israeli’s Channel 12.

He said: “The police saw a tape in which you can see that the door is being opened and instead of yelling for help and saying she was raped, she says ‘close the door’.

“A woman who is being raped doesn’t say that.

“I was in the room, yes.…that evening we saw our friends whom we met there with the woman.

‘We went up to her room, 723, and we were with her there in the room.

“You saw the videos.

“We were three in the room and there were more people outside who wanted to come in, who came in, and went out.

“They didn’t actually do anything but they did see and were part of everything that went on there.”

According to Israeli sources, the video has been shared via WhatsApp and on pornographic sites.

One told MailOnline: “During the video one of the men says, ”you’re my whore, say you’re my whore’.

“She asks what they are saying and one of them replies in English, ‘we are saying you’re sexy’.

“It is not very nice. It’s not how men should act.”

The Brit had claimed that the group took it in turns one by one to rape her, before she managed to escape and was taken half naked to a clinic by friends.

However in a dramatic turn of events the teenager retracted her story when she was confronted by police.

According to Ynet news, the case began to unfold late Saturday evening when the main investigator, Marius Christiano, arrived at the hotel the British teenager was staying with her family.

After being confronted with the DNA and video evidence the woman was unable to verify her story.

Five men were initially freed and the final seven were released on Sunday following the new revelations.

She is currently being held in Nicosia jail for a further eight days and also faces million pound compensation claims from the Israeli men she labelled as rapists.

Defence lawyers representing some of the group, Yaniv Habari and Nir Yaslovitzh, confirmed yesterday that they intended to sue the young woman on behalf of those she accused.

If convicted she faces up to a year in jail and a maximum fine of £1500.

Yona Golub, who was among the five detainees released on Thursday, told Hebrew-language media that he had come to greet his friends, and that they intended to file a lawsuit against the woman.
