It appears the question came about after Gonzalo Higuain endured a stinker against Manchester United on Sunday afternoon.

He came in as a replacement for Alvaro Morata, who did little during his 18-month Stamford Bridge spell.

While the likes of Radamel Falcao, Alexandre Pato and Andriy Shevchenko are just some of the other forwards to have flopped in West London.

Batshuayi is fondly remembered by Chelsea fans for scoring the goal which secured their fifth Premier League title during Antonio Conte’s first season.

But after being shipped out on loan during the Italian’s second term and Maurizio Sarri’s debut campaign, Batshuayi admitted he wanted to find out if his name was being touted by supporters.

Responding to “Who’s been Chelsea’s worst striker of the Abramovich era?”, Batshuayi said: “Don’t mind me just checking if I get mentioned here.”
