THE Flat returns on Saturday and I cannot wait to get stuck into some cracking cards.
There’s action galore around the country and I’ve tried to make it a little easier to pick some winners..
2.05 Matterhorn – Has looked a superstar on his five starts so far, last time demolishing a good field at this track.
This is a big step up but he’s the highest rated in the field and he could be something special if his visuals are anything to go by.
He’ll want an easy lead and I can’t wait to see that powerful action unleashed once again.

1.50 Invincible Army – This is one of the trickiest cards you’ll ever find and James Tate’s sprinter sticks out as being the bet of the day.
He produced some fine performances early last season, defeating Eqtidaar before just losing out to subsequent Group 1 winner Sands Of Mali, and that form is above the required standard here.
Provided he’s fit enough, he could outclass this bunch.
3.40 The Welsh Paddies – Was clearly not unfancied when turning his form around at Huntingdon last month, drawing clear in fine style to win by just under five lengths.
He’s only had four starts for trainer Kerry Lee so is probably capable of more and a 6lb rise could be worse.
This is a weak race and he’s the one to beat under ideal conditions.

Southwell 7.00 – Weld Al Emarat (Click here to see the best prices and place your bet)
3.20 Cougars Gold – Travelled notably well when winning over course and distance last time out and a 7lb rise was inevitable.
This track is ideal for him as he jumps so well and his general profile this season has been one of massive improvement.
The good ground is fine and expect him to be bang there again under crack rider James Bowen.
7.00 Weld Al Emarat – Has come alive on this surface, winning three of his last four.
Just saw off the reopposing Space Bandit last time but the weights turnaround still favours him and he should be able to do the business again.
He’ll want a strong pace but provided he gets it then he’s the one to catch.
