The sickening video was filmed at the company’s plant in Hull, where the disgruntled employee had apparently just quit his job.
Captioning the video “Boycott Birds Eye peas”, he told stunned coworkers it was a “f*** you goodbye” on his final shift.
In the eight-second clip, filmed on a phone, the man is seen soaking the veg with a jet of liquid as they pass by on a conveyor belt.
The frozen food firm processes up to 61 tonnes of peas an hour at the plant.
There were fears Birds Eye may have to bin this week’s entire stock of garden peas — some ten million packets, or around 10,000 tonnes of veg.
A source at the plant told The Sun: “This guy wanted to leave in a blaze of glory. But it’s disgusting if he has peed on them.
“They could have ended up on the nation’s plates.”
Birds Eye yesterday suspended pea deliveries to the nation’s supermarkets after learning of the video.
It isn’t known for certain if the man urinated on the peas, or just pretended to using a hose.

Tests are currently being carried out at the site in Humberside.
A spokeswoman for Birds Eye said: “We have isolated all warehouse stock before a full investigation.
“Consumers can continue to enjoy our peas without concerns.”
Last month, a woman was seen “peeing on potatoes” at a supermarket as part of a grim new social media challenge.
