BOLTON’S Championship match against Brentford postponed last week because the players went on strike will NOT be played this week.
The EFL had been hoping to re-arrange last Saturday’s fixture before the scheduled final match of the season on Sunday.
But talks with the crisis-hit club have failed to find any resolution to the impasse which has seen the players down tools over failure to be paid their wages.
And now the EFL have set a deadline for this Thursday to decide if the game against the Bees will be staged in the week after the end of the season.
Regulations allow any postponed matches to be played up to four days after the last day of the regular season, which is this coming Sunday.
