EDDIE HOWE is ready to make a £25million move for Liverpool winger Harry Wilson.

The Bournemouth boss wants the Wales international, 22, as competition for David Brooks and Ryan Fraser.

SunSport revealed Billing was arriving for £15million to strengthen Howe’s central midfield – and Wilson is also on his list of targets.

Newcastle and Aston Villa have looked at the 22-year-old wide man but Howe is in pole position to land him.

He is willing to pay £25million after Wilson impressed on loan at Derby last season under Frank Lampard and reached the Championship play-off final.

Howe admitted at the weekend that his summer spending is not finished – and that will include an attempt to sign Wilson.

David Brooks and Ryan Fraser performed superbly in wide areas last season but Howe wants competition.

And Fraser’s future has been uncertain as he enters the final year of his contract with no fresh agreement signed.

Wilson is seen by Howe as a player who could adapt quickly to Bournemouth’s style of football.

At his age will also give value for money with his best years ahead of him and will also get regular football which would prove difficult for the European champions at Anfield given the competition in Jurgen Klopp’s squad.

The winger has featured off the bench in the recent friendlies against Sporting CP and Napoli as the Reds stutter in pre-season.

Without a win in four games, they face Lyon on Wednesday before the weekend’s Community Shield against Manchester City.
