Rosie Johnson, 22, hasn’t been seen since Sunday after she vanished on the Isle of Wight.

The Scottish zoology graduate, who works at the PGL Little Canada adventure centre, disappeared after reportedly arguing with a colleague.

Today, cops said a body of a woman had been found in Wootten during the search.

Hampshire Police said: “We can confirm that officers searching for missing Rosie Johnson on the Isle of Wight have found a body of a woman in Wootton this afternoon.

“Formal identification procedures are ongoing but Rosie’s next of kin have been made aware of the discovery.

“At this stage, the death is not being treated as suspicious and a file is being prepared for the coroner.”

The alarm was raised about the former Glasgow University student after she failed to turn up for her shift as a field studies instructor on Monday.

A ground search wasn’t launched until almost 40 hours later.

She was last seen by a creek close to the 50-acre camp, which backs onto water, at around 10.15pm on Sunday night.

Police carried out an extensive search of the area, including speaking to nearby residents.

Her family also flew in from Scotland to help with the effort.
