BREAKING: Boyz n the Hood director John Singleton dies at 51 after stroke

A family representative said the Boyz n The Hood director passed away “peacefully, surrounded by his family and friends,” TMZ reports.

The news came shortly after Singleton’s family decided to switch-off his life machine after he tragically didn’t respond to treatment.

A spokesperson said: “It is with heavy hearts we announce that our beloved son, father and friend, John Daniel Singleton will be taken off of life support today.

“This was an agonising decision, one that our family made, over a number of days, with the careful counsel of John’s doctors,” they told Deadline.
