BREAKING: Hazardous chemical unit scrambled to Brit town following incident


PART of a town in Devon is on lockdown over an incident involving “hazardous chemicals”.

Emergency services have been frantically scrambled to an ongoing chemical incident in Teignmouth.

Four fire engines and a hazardous chemical united were despatched to the area from nearby Newton Abbot.

Fire HQ in Exeter has confirmed units are in the middle of dealing with an incident, but cannot give any further details at this time.

A spokesman for Devon and Somerset Fire and Rescue said: “We are attending an incident in the Teignmouth area but we can give no more information at the present time.”
