Police were scrambled to a street in East Ham, in the London Borough of Newham, just after 11pm on Saturday.
A man in his late-20s was found suffering from stab wounds.
He was tragically pronounced dead at the scene.
The victim has not been named but his next of kin has been formed.
A police cordon is in place at the junction of Ron Leighton Way and Wakefield Street.
It happened just hours after a pregnant woman was stabbed to death near Croydon, south London.
Kelly-Mary Fauvrelle, 26, died but her unborn baby was miraculously delivered at the site in Thornton Heath.
