BREAKING: Sri Lanka cops in shootout after raiding suspected BOMB factory

COPS in Sri Lanka are reportedly involved in a live shootout as armed officers raid a suspected bomb factory.

The army and police were reportedly attempting to search a location thought to have been used to manufacture suicide vests in the horrific Easter Sunday attacks. 

Gunfire erupted and security forces were shot at by suspects linked to the bombings as they raided the area.

The shootout is happening in the town of Ampara Sainthamaruthu, south of Batticaloa.
