Max Verstappen lost five places following a dreadful start as Leclerc, 21, sped away to lead the Austrian Grand Prix.

But the Dutchman, 21, drove an incredible race through the field to eventually beat Leclerc to win the race for Red Bull.

The Ferrari driver finished second on the podium in the Formula One race.

Leclerc’s girlfriend is Italian Giada Gianni, also 21, who supports his man through thick and thin.

She will need to provide some comfort for Leclerc after the victory was snatched away from him in the last few laps.

Giada has a huge 34,000 Instagram followers and she had a cute post for the Monaco-born driver this week.

She shared three snaps of her and Leclerc sharing a kiss following his podium finish in third at the French Grand Prix last weekend.

The post was captioned simply with a love heart and lipstick kiss emoji.

One said: “I love you both so much, oh my god, you’re the cutest.”

Another added: “What a beautiful capture of a beautiful moment.”

Verstappen won the Austrian Grand Prix for the second year in a row  while champions Mercedes’s 10-race winning streak came to an end.

Leclerc, starting on pole, finished second after defending hard against Verstappen with the two 21-year-olds banging wheels as the Dutchman forced his way past.

Verstappen took the flag under investigation.

Valtteri Bottas finished third for Mercedes with championship-leading teammate Lewis Hamilton fifth.
