CHELSEA have denied claims Andreas Christensen told David Luiz “No player is bigger than the club” after the former Blues man completed his move to Arsenal.
Brazilian Luiz’s £8million switch to North London was one of the shock transfers of deadline day.
He said he made the move to Chelsea’s rivals because he wanted to win trophies – despite Chelsea beating Arsenal to the Europa League last May.
But a Facebook page, which Chelsea say was fake and has now been deleted, attributed a scathing remark to Christensen.
The post, now deleted, read: “No player is bigger than the club.”
A photo was then posted which showed Christensen posing with Luiz but that has also been removed.
Luiz, 32, left Stamford Bridge after being told by Frank Lampard that he would not be first-choice this season.
And Luiz told Arsenal.com: “All my life, I’ve always started the season with the goal to win things.
“It’s not going to be different here – I’m going to come with this mentality because this is what made me move here.”
Despite signing a new two-year deal with Chelsea in May, Luiz insisted it was clearly the end for him at Stamford Bridge.

He said: “The cycle finished there. It was a conversation between me and Chelsea and everybody.
“I had an opportunity to come to another big club. In my life, I’ve always liked to do some challenges.
“I’m not scared at all to try things. I think not too many players would make this kind of move, they would maybe be scared, or something like that.”
