The rainbow-coloured horse drawn carriage was taken to a chapel at the Chanterlands Crematorium.
Melissa died on May 11 after a sudden heart attack, having suffered from ischemic heart disease.
Today’s funeral notice said the service will “celebrate her extraordinary life” and advised the dress code is “as colourful as possible – Preferably LGBT style”.
Mourners were snapped in bright colours with floral prints, stripes and tie dye.

Funeral celebrant Alastair Devine said: “This is the first time a family has ever asked me to dress like this.
“I’m hoping to expect a lively, vibrant service for an amazing woman. She’s obviously had a massive effect on the people of Hull in various different ways from her transition then her viral videos that are infamous.
“We’re just going to celebrate all that is Mel and we intend to show the different sides of her and we’ve even got a bit of a Melmix of her best bits.”
Andy Train, chair of LGBT Humber forum, added: “We expect it to be a colourful and memorable funeral.
“Mel was one of these characters who was colourful and had fun in doing what she did.”
Melissa was already well-known for her barmy online videos when she scooped £4million on a £10 scratchcard in December 2017.
Her winning scratchcard and massive cheque are on display on a large easel at the front of the church.
Melissa’s grieving fiancee Rachel Nason, 38, revealed she had passed away suddenly.
Melissa had been rushed to hospital just six days before her death but was sent home five hours later with the all-clear.
But she tragically died later in the month after complaining of chest pains.
