MICHELLE Connor will open up about her failed relationship with Robert Preston in Coronation Street next week, admitting she misses him to her son, Ali Neeson.
Her confession comes after she gets a voicemail from Peter Barlow.
Alcoholic Peter – who fans have seen hitting the bottle again – tells Michelle that he’s about to leave rehab because he wants to keep looking for missing Carla Connor.
Michelle – played by Kym Marsh in the ITV soap – makes the decision to start the search for Carla herself in a bid to stop Peter from quitting rehab.
Later, Michelle is touched when Daniel Osbourne shows her posters Robert has had made about Carla. He even offers a generous reward for anyone who can provide information about her whereabouts, which gets Michelle thinking.
She ends up agreeing to a lunch date with Robert and is miffed when he tells her he has to cancel because he has to visit the wine suppliers for the Bistro.
Michelle confesses to Ali how much she misses him. Could this mean there’s a way back for the couple?
Meanwhile Robert – Tristan Gemmill – arrives at a hotel and is very shocked by what he sees. But what is it?
Robert and Michelle split earlier this year after a pregnancy scare made Michelle realise she didn’t want to have another baby.
Knowing that fatherhood is something Robert’s yearns for, she made the tough decision to call time on their relationship, leaving Robert gutted.
He hit the bottle and wrongly came to the conclusion that Carla was somehow responsible for Michelle ditching him, and became obsessed with getting revenge on the factory boss.
He pushed her over on the Street, put a brick through her window and revealed to mourners at Rana Habeeb’s funeral that Carla knew the roof was unstable.

Robert is also one of the main suspects responsible for tampering with the factory roof causing the tragic collapse that left Rana dead.
It was revealed last week that Tristan will be leaving the soap later this year, leaving fans devastated.
Tristan broke the news on his Twitter account writing: “Folks, I just wanted to let you know that the time has come for me to hang up the chef’s gear and head for pastures new.
“There is still a lot of drama & shenanigans to come for Robert but I will be leaving @itvcorrie later in the year.”
Meanwhile The Sun Online exclusively revealed that Michelle would soon be leaving the cobbles as Kym Marsh has quit the role she’s played for more than a decade.
