PREGNANT Vicky Jefferies packs her bags and prepares to leave Weatherfield in Coronation Street next week, leaving Robert Preston heartbroken.
Robert – who is the father of Vicky’s unborn baby – is floored when he arrives at lover Vicky’s home, to find her ex, Jed, there and Vicky packing her bags.
The bistro owner – who’s played by departing actor Tristan Gemmill – desperately tries to persuade Vicky to change her mind and stay, but Jed clearly has other ideas.
The two men square up to each other just as Vicky yells at them to leave her alone while she makes up her mind over whether she stays or goes.
What will her decision be?
Corrie fans know that Robert got Vicky pregnant when they had a fling while he was split from now-fiancee Michelle Connor – Kym Marsh, who’s also quitting the cobbles.
and since discovering Vicky – Kerri Quinn – is carrying his child, broody Robert has been juggling two lives as he prepares to become a father with Vicky and plans a wedding with Michelle.
But his double life will be threatened this week when his ex-wife, Tracy Barlow, spots him in a compromising position with Vicky.
The Sun Online revealed earlier this year that Michelle’s wedding day to Robert would be ruined yet again.
However, unlike the couple’s previous attempt at tying the knot – which was gate-crashed by serial killer Pat Phelan – this time Michelle will be left devastated when she discovers Robert has got another woman pregnant.
A Corrie insider revealed at the time: “This fling takes place while Michelle and Robert temporarily split up, then when they’re reunited they decide to have a secret wedding, by inviting guests on the premise it’s for his 50th birthday.

“But Vicky reveals she is pregnant with his baby, which poses a real dilemma for him as he has always wanted to be a father.
“That leaves him with a huge decision over whether he stays with Michelle, the woman he loves but who doesn’t want a baby, or leaves her to guarantee a new life as a father?
“Either way, it results in Michelle leaving the cobbles for good — but not before the inevitable whirlwind of drama has played out.”
