CRISTIANO RONALDO was hard at work preparing for Portugal’s Nations League campaign on Thursday.
The team trained under coach Fernando Santos in the Lisbon suburb of Oeiras ahead of their semi-final with Switzerland.
Ronaldo is expected to feature having been rested during the group stage, returning to the Portugal fold for their Euro 2020 qualifiers earlier in the year.
In a successful first season with Juventus, the 34-year-old has been given plenty of time off during the campaign to ensure his longevity.
While Ronaldo was named the Serie A Player of the Year following his side’s title win, he was snubbed for the official Team of the Season – as was league top scorer Fabio Quagliarella.
But with seven goals in his final eight games of the season, he comes into the inaugural finals in top shape.
