MATTHIJS DE LIGT’S £67million transfer from Ajax to Juventus will reportedly be announced on Monday.
The wonderkid is understood to have agreed a £140,000-a-week deal with the Italian giants, which equates to £7.2m a year.
And the news will come as a bitter blow to Manchester United and Paris Saint-Germain who were both keen to snap up the Dutch international.
Corriere Dello Sport reports that the deal is “close” and that “the finish line is approaching”.
He will have a whopping £140m release clause fee in the deal which will rise over the years.
De Ligt scored the winner to knock Juventus out of the Champions League quarter-final last season.
GOLDEN BOY AWARD
And when he came up against Portugal for Holland in the Uefa Nations League final, Cristiano Ronaldo urged him to join him in Turin.
The Ajax star, who admitted his first footy shirt was of Ronaldo when he was at United, was asked whether the Portugal captain had asked him to become a team-mate at Juve.
De Ligt said: “That could be true, yes.
“I didn’t understand him at first. I was a little shocked, so I laughed, but I didn’t say anything.
