Described as a series of thoughts, images and sensations occurring in one’s mind during sleep, dreams have caused fascination throughout the centuries. Dreams are images created involuntarily by our mind while we sleep, and are often so vivid, it’s usually very difficult to tell when you’re having a dream. The experience usually feels very real, with lifelike experiences and often people you’re very close to appearing in your dreams.Often when sleepers awake from a dream, their left feeling slightly disorientated or confused by what has just happened – especially if it happens to be a bad dream or nightmare.
These feelings can lead to researching on the story behind your dream, with many dreams linked to real life matters.
What does dreaming of a car being out of control mean?
Theresa Cheung author of The A to Z Dream Dictionary revealed to Express.co.uk the various potential meanings of this unpleasant dream.
She said: “Car dreams represent your path in life or the direction you are currently heading in. If you dream of an out of control or speeding car this suggests that you are heading off track in your daily life or moving dangerously fast.
“If you aren’t driving the car perhaps you really ought to be in your waking life as it suggests someone else is leading you astray or you are being too strongly influenced by someone else’s agenda for your life.”
Many associate this dream with loss, which Theresa is keen to point out isn’t necessarily a worry, so long as action is taken.
She added: “If nobody is driving something outside your control is happening and you need to focus on how you plan to deal with the situation and regain control. If you are driving you need to find ways to stop sabotaging yourself.
“This dream is a warning not of potential disaster or loss but of what will happen if you don’t take charge of your life.”
But why would someone dream of a car being out of control? Why is being communicated by their subconscious?
Theresa believes this dream indicates the sleeper should take action and get in control of their life instantly.
She continued: “You need to be the one in the driving seat and in control of the direction of your life.”
Theresa recently revealed what it means to dream of teeth falling out.
Most associate this frightening dream with money loss, and Theresa revealed that the two are in fact linked.
She said: “The tooth fairy association links this dream with money so perhaps it also indicates financial concerns.
“Teeth are symbols of survival and even power so this dream does strongly suggest that you are feeling neglected, frustrated, overlooked or inferior in some way.”
