Eastenders spoilers: Phil Mitchell hunts down Ben and Kat Slater to confront them over his attack

PHIL Mitchell is on the warpath in EastEnders next week and it’s his son, Ben, and Kat Slater who are in the firing line.

Ben throws a surprise party to welcome Phil – who’s played by Steve McFadden in the BBC soap – home from hospital following the vicious attack which left him fighting for his life.

But Phil is less than impressed by his son’s efforts and, once everyone leaves, he confronts Ben – Max Bowden – about his argument with Jay Brown in the hospital.

Ben’s worried that Phil’s on to him and denies there was any argument.

He then rushes to warn Jay, but Phil gets there first and grill him about what went on. What will Jay do?

Later, Shirley Carter visits Phil at The Arches and she’s stunned when he confesses to her that he’s remembered something about the night of his attack.

Over at the Slater house, Kat – Jessie Wallace – is shaken when she finds Phil waiting for her in the kitchen. What has he remembered?

EastEnders fans know that Phil was bashed over the head by Stacey Fowler as Phil strangled her husband Martin during a huge row in the Arches.

A panicked Stacey took her daughters, Hope and Lily, and fled the Square with Martin, leaving son Arthur with his dad, Kush Kazemi.

Ben promised he’d sort the situation after walking in on Stacey, Martin and Kat contemplating what to do, while Phil lay unconscious in the pit.

He sent them on their way before planting rival Keanu Taylor’s bloodied overalls and telling the police that the mechanic and Phil had had a furious row earlier that day.

Meanwhile it looks like there could be an emotional reunion on the cards for Ben soon as actress Lin Blakely revealed she is returning to the soap as Pam Coker, the grandmother of Ben’s dead boyfriend, Paul.

Speaking to Express.co.uk, Lin said: “”I love going back. I’m going back soon. Just for a couple of episodes and I love it. I love popping back.

“I’m so happy and pleased that I’m able to do that.

“I haven’t been back for a year but I’m going back for a couple of episodes, so that is wonderful.”
