ED Sheeran and wife Cherry Seaborn’s love story took them from the classroom they both shared at Thomas Mills High School in Suffolk to a jet-set lifestyle of almost unimaginable luxury.
As The Sun exclusively revealed last night, the pair secretly wed in a “tiny” wedding at his country estate in December – with every last one of his celebrity pals shut out.

It was an apt setting for the pair, who met in their home town of Framlingham, a sleepy Suffolk market town untouched by showbiz – until Ed brought Taylor Swift to one of its historic pubs.
Insiders say Ed always had a crush on Cherry at the high school, but their chances of romance were torpedoed when she left to go to university in America.
Cherry, a former England hockey player, went to Duke University in far-flung Durham, North Carolina – 4,000 miles away from Ed.
She said at the time: “Ever since I was in high school I’ve always wanted to study in the United States.

“Duke has such a good name in England, and there were a lot of people who told me to go there. There were also some English girls, so I talked to them too.”
Cherry settled in well at the prestigious school, leading her hockey team to the finals of the British University Championships two years in a row in 2012 and 2013.
However, even after university, Cherry didn’t return home, bagging a job on New York’s cut-throat Wall Street, working for accounting giant Deloitte.
In fact, it wasn’t until 2015 that Ed and Cherry are thought to have begun dating, after they were spotted kissing in a snap shared by Ed’s pal Taylor Swift.

The singer, 29, had thrown a joint party celebrating a friend’s engagement – and Ed and Cherry’s one year anniversary.
But Cherry was still based in the US, forcing UK-based Ed and Cherry to endure a long-distance relationship for months.
During that time, he wrote Perfect for his girlfriend, with the song appearing on his smash album Divide.
He told Us magazine: “Perfect was the first song that I wrote for the album – it was inspired by Cherry.

“The line that goes: ‘Barefoot on the grass, listening to our favourite song’ was about when we were in Ibiza listening to Future’s March Madness literally not wearing any shoes and going mental on the lawn, which was quite a nice time.
“I didn’t see her first reaction to the song because she lived in New York at the time. So I just emailed it to her but she did really like it.”
She liked it so much, in fact, that she moved back to Britain to be with Ed in December 2016.
The following year they were seen arriving at Jonathan Ross’ Halloween party dressed in hilarious matching pink pimp outfits, complete with furry coats and canes.

Cherry and Ed, who is worth an estimated £83 million, announced their engagement in January last year, sharing a picture of the two of them embracing in the kitchen.
“Got myself a fiancé just before new year,” he wrote. “We are very happy and in love, and our cats are chuffed as well xx.”
Marriage followed the same year at his Suffolk mansion. As The Sun revealed yesterday Ed got married a few days before Christmas.
In fact, their trip to watch Ipswich Town play Sheffield United, where she sat on his lap, on 21 December last year, could have been their first public appearance as a married couple.

Talking about the wedding, a source explained: “It was very quiet – just Ed’s oldest school pals, limited family and the priest.
“There were only 40 people – so no Taylor Swift, record company executives or any royals or pop star pals. He wanted no fuss and he wanted it to be something entirely for them – just a tiny winter wedding.
“It’s amazing that he’s the biggest pop star in the world but he was just able to quietly slide off and wed.
“Neither of them were that fussed about making a big deal about it. Cherry just wanted to get it out of the way without any problems or intrusions.”

Ed has previously spoken out about starting a family with Cherry, and even hinted he may stop making music when the couple have kids.
He told the Star: “My ambition is going to go to zero as soon as I have kids.
“I’m going to be like: ‘I do not really care anymore as I have another life to take care of.’
“It is totally understandable because you have children and your ambition shifts to be like, I want to be a good father.”

Ed first sparked rumours that he might already be married back in February, when he was spotted wearing a band on his ring finger.
Ed had been wearing an engagement ring made by Cherry out of silver clay since popping the question in December 2017 to avoid anyone knowing when he was hitched.
