EVERTON were handed a potential problem after Andre Gomes went off injured against Crystal Palace.
Gomes, 26, slumped to the turf on the stroke of half-time and he appeared to be in some pain.
Earlier on in the half, he was accidentally trodden on by Andros Townsend.
The midfielder was forced off and Toffees boss Marco Silva was quickly informed that Gomes would not be able to carry on.
New signing Jean-Philippe Gbamin came on in his place and he was introduced earlier than expected.
Gbamin – a £25million arrival from Mainz earlier this month – was initially on the bench, but he was handed his debut.
However, with Fabian Delph out of action with a groin problem, Silva will be hoping Gomes’ injury isn’t too serious.
