Fantasy football can be a cruel mistress.
Just months ago some of this lot were tearing it up, their names in shining lights.
But Dream Team players don’t need patience; they need results.
With fresh new March transfers dropping on Friday, here’s five fairly popular players you should consider ditching who could also free up some decent wedge.

Fantasy Football Tips: Popular Premier League players to ditch
1 Willian (13.7%)
Weird one is our Willian.
Brilliant one day, missing in action the next – and that isn’t a recipe for Dream Team success.
He’s only contributed a goal or assist in seven of his last 25 appearances in all competitions, which just isn’t good enough for Chelsea’s level.
2 Kieran Trippier (20.6%)
Just 21 points from Spurs’ last 13 games for Tripps, with that World Cup semi-final free kick looking a long way away now.
Caught out defensively and duly dropped for the win over Borussia Dortmund last week, with Serge Aurier preferred.
Trippier hasn’t contributed an assist since early November.
3 Marcos Alonso (19.7%)
Blimey, what a fall from grace.
Alonso was a shoo-in as a defender at the start of the season, a constant goal threat and a key cog in a typically stoic defence.
Fast forward seven months or so and he’s been benched for Emerson Palmieri after some incredibly suspect performances.

4 Harry Maguire (12.6%)
Slabhead has suffered individually from the collective doom and gloom at Leicester.
The Foxes are without a win since New Year’s Day and haven’t kept a clean sheet since that win at Everton either.
A fresh start under Brendan Rodgers may chance his fortunes, but Rodgers has never been known for his defensive solidity so Maguire and co. should still leak goals.
5 Mo Salah (62.9%)
Interesting one, this.
Salah has drawn blanks in six of Liverpool’s nine games in 2019 so far and has only three non-penalty goals since before Christmas.
He’s been off colour but the Reds have a more favourable run, with Watford, Everton, Burnley and Fulham their next four league opponents – and the Egyptian tends to fill his boots against the lesser lights.
Yet at a punchy £7.8m, selling Salah could free up funds to bring back a fully fit Harry Kane who LOVES scoring against Chelsea and Arsenal.
