B.J. Penn, 40, has been captured on camera grappling with the man on the floor as onlookers – thought to be his friends and entourage – surround them to watch.

The most recent altercation comes only months after the fighter was issued with a restraining order from his estranged partner and mother of his children following allegations of physical and sexual abuse.

And in a recent clip from Monday’s scrap, released by celeb gossip site TMZ, a shirtless B.J. Penn was seen holding the bouncer down onto the tarmac.

The fight broke out outside of Club Femme Nu in Honolulu – the most established strip club in Hawaii with the largest roster of exotic dancers.

A couple of onlookers attempted to break up the altercation by encouraging the former UFC legend to let go of the man.

Their attempts failed and the men persisted in tightly holding onto each other.

Another man attempted to separate the pair before planting punches to Penn’s head.

The bloke was soon pushed away, seeing the fight continue.

Despite all efforts to defuse the altercation, the clip ended with the men remaining latched on to each other.

The nightclub’s manager told TMZ that the former star had been asked to leave the club after exhibiting “very drunk” behaviour.

Bystanders who witnessed the altercation called the Honolulu police, but by the time they arrived, Penn and his entourage had departed.

Penn’s final UFC outing saw him lose his seventh-straight bout, via unanimous decision, to Clay Guida at UFC 237 in May.

His last win came back in November 2010 when he knocked out former UFC welterweight champion Matt Hughes at UFC 123.

And despite his desire to continue competing with the UFC, Penn has made headlines since for less respectable reasons.

It comes after Jon Jones was given a “dangerous” warning by Luke Rockhold’s coach.
