A LABOUR MP sparked a fresh anti-Semitism row today after agreeing to host a reception honouring a far-left activist who’s been accused of racism.
Jackie Walker is subject to an anti-Semitism probe from Labour after claiming Jews were responsible for the slave trade.
But hardliner Chris Williamson has invited activists to the Commons for a screening of her new film.
Other Labour MPs said they were “disgusted” by his behaviour and called on Jeremy Corbyn to take action.
Ms Walker was kicked out of hard-left group Momentum after making allegedly anti-Semitic comments.
But Labour bosses are still considering whether she should be permanently expelled from the party.
On Monday, Mr Williamson is hosting a screening of a film promoting Ms Walker’s case in a Commons committee room.
The event is organised by Jewish Voice for Labour, a fringe group shunned by mainstream Jewish organisations.
Labour MP Lilian Greenwood tweeted today: “His behaviour disgusts me & brings shame on @UKLabour. Over to you @jeremycorbyn & @JennieGenSec.”
Luciana Berger, who quit the party over anti-Semitism last week, said the event was “beyond offensive”.
And deputy leader Tom Watson has reported the incident to Mr Corbyn and the party’s general secretary who is in charge of discipline.
Danny Stone of the Antisemitism Policy Trust told The Sun: “That a Labour MP has chosen to host this event seems at odds with what Jeremy Corbyn has said and so no doubt he will wish to address this personally.”

The Board of Deputies of British Jews added: “How much longer will Williamson get away with trolling the Jewish community?”
Mr Williamson, the MP for Derby North, has repeatedly defended far-left figures accused of anti-Semitism.
A Labour spokesman said today: “It’s completely inappropriate to book a room for an event about an individual who is suspended and subject to ongoing disciplinary procedures.”
