GOGGLEBOX’s June Bernicoff has revealed she can’t watch TV without late husband Leon beside her.
Fans were left devastated when the pensioner passed away aged 83, back in 2017 and June has admitted she finds it difficult to enjoy telly since her beloved’s death.

The couple, who were former teachers, found fame in their seventies when they were cast in the hit reality series that shows folk reacting to news.
But she hasn’t been able to relax in front of a television set ever since cheeky Londoner Leon passed away.
She said: “I don’t watch much TV these days, if I’m honest. I find it difficult.
“I’ve been reading a lot more, or listening to the radio, but I just feel restless whenever I sit down to watch it.
“I find myself getting up to make a lot of cups of tea and I can’t settle.”
However, his empty armchair is still sat in their living room and it gives her comfort as his personality is still vivid in her mind.
She added to The Mirror: “People talk about how difficult it is coming into an empty house.
“But it’s funny, I never really feel the house is empty somehow. Leon was such a large figure… I can hear him saying things like, ‘Why have you got this nonsense on?’ when I’m listening to Classic FM.
“It’s strange going out on my own, though, and things like driving the car are hard, because he always wanted to be behind the wheel.”
June appeared on This Morning in September to talk about the book she’s written about their time together and her story moved fans to tears.
She said at the time: “It’s given me a purpose to set aside parts of the day to write. I think at first it was just the sadness cos I just started remembering the last few days he was really ill.

“But then going back and remembering the fun we had… I can’t remember life without him, not really.”
Fans flocked to Twitter to express their sadness over June’s story.
One wrote: “I did not cry watching June & Leon Bernicoff’s story…at all #ThisMorning.”
Another added: “Aww June talking about Leon. #ThisMorning #JuneAndLeon #LeonAndJune #Gogglebox.”

June chose not to return to Gogglebox without Leon and the Channel 4 series paid tribute to Leon in February 2018 during its first episode since the Christmas special, which marked his final appearance.
Leon developed pneumonia and sepsis from a short illness just before Christmas 2017, and passed away after ten days in hospital.
The couple were the first pair to be cast on the hit show back in 2013, and soon became some of the most popular faces among fans.
June decided to write her tome, titled Leon and June: Our Story, in order to celebrate their life together – from when they first met at teacher training college in 1955, to finding fame later in life.
