A 73-year-old grandmother was shoved onto NYC subway tracks as a train approached the station, after her family asked a stranger to stop smoking marijuana on an underground train platform in Brooklyn.

The woman was hospitalized Monday after sustaining severe head injuries in the melee. Her husband, 82, and grandson, 30, were punched in the face by the weed-smoking assailant, police said.

As the woman fell onto the tracks, a train was approaching the station.

The conductor saw the woman fall and stopped in time, the Daily News reported. She was pulled off the tracks.

The family was waiting for a Manhattan-bound C train at the Clinton Washington station around 1:30 p.m., when the stranger approached them. The grandson began arguing with the man about his smoking.

The pot smoker then rushed the grandson and punched him in the face, police said.

His grandfather entered the fray and was also punched in the face.

She was taken to NewYork-Presbyterian Brooklyn Methodist Hospital where she was listed in stable condition, according to the Daily News.
