Heart-stopping footage shows the giant predator coming out the blue off the coast of Port Lincoln, South Australia.
The great white shark makes a beeline for the water before breaching the surface.
He manages to snag a piece of floating prey before diving back into the crystal clear water.
A school of fish can be seen swimming past the diver, who fortunately was in a diving cage during the close encounter.
After finishing its meal, the giant predator then quickly swims back into the shadows of the ocean.
The clip was posted to Reddit by user u/jdcgrayson, who wrote: “I went cage diving in Port Lincoln, SA.
“Saw a great white breach from the cage. Amazing experience.”
One person said: “Absolute bloody unit.”
Another added: “You’re so lucky. This is amazing.”
A third said: “Beautiful. Wow.”
Not everyone was left amazed but the sighting though.
One person added: “I very much would like to do this, but the thing is you’re teaching an animal that can level 60 years to associate boats/people with food.
“This is very dangerous for both parties.”
It comes after a nighttime diver was completely oblivious to a shark lurking beneath him.
