Speaking to Manchester Evening News, the mum-of-two recounted how she was punched “straight in the face for no reason” outside a Manchester bar just before Christmas last year.

She said: “The first thing that I can remember is waking up in hospital the next day – Christmas Eve. My jaw was in half and I was rushed to emergency surgery.

“They rebuilt my jaw because it was snapped in two places and I had three plates put in my face.”

Jamie-Lee said she couldn’t remember what happened at the pub, but was left with injuries so severe that she couldn’t even smile – still on a soft diet months later.

And she said she was frustrated after having to give evidence against Hampson – reliving the horrific night at the hands of the Silver Birch pub landlord in Wythenshawe.

The 39-year-old man pleaded not guilty to assault but was convicted by a jury on a majority verdict.

But was then sentenced to 12 months behind bars by a judge at Manchester Crown Court.

Jamie-Lee said: “Mentally, it has destroyed me as a person. I am slowly starting to get back there now, but it is far from over.”

The mum said it had been the “worst two years” – losing her 11-day-old daughter about ten months after the attack.

But she shared images of her injuries in an attempt to raise awareness for the attack – saying she was determined to get her life back.

It comes after a man remembered as a “gentle giant” was floored with a fatal single punch outside a pub.

And a hero pub landlord was stabbed to death after reportedly confronting a man who had been barred from the premises.

The man, named locally as Christian Thornton, was reportedly attacked in the beer garden of the Hammer and Pincers pub, in Widnes, Cheshire.
