The Big Mac Bacon sparked a frenzy when it was released in January.

McDonald’s limited edition item, which is only available until March 19, retails for £3.09.

But if you want to try it for less cash, there’s a simple way you can do so.

Here’s everything you need to know about the money saving menu hack.

To qualify for a £1.99 Big Mac and fries every time, visit the Food For Thoughts website.

This initiative, run by the fast food giant, offers money off in return for feedback on your recent trip to Maccy D’s.

Filling out a simple survey provides you with a code you can use in store.

Adding bacon to your discounted McDonald’s order will cost you an extra 40p.

This puts the Big Mac Bacon and chips cost at £2.39 – which is £1.79 less than normal.

A savvy shopper recently shared a top tip on the Extreme Couponing and Bargains UK Group on Facebook.

He wrote: “Want a Big Mac Bacon and don’t wanna pay so much?

“Use the £1.99 coupon and just add bacon.”

The post has since racked up 300 likes and dozens of comments.

After the post swept the web, many branded the idea “genius”.

One commenter wrote: “Get this man a chair. He is our new chief.”

“Another said: “You’re a legend.”

A third added their own tip for getting the burger for less cash.

They advised: “Double cheeseburger with no ketchup and Big Mac sauce is only £1.50 too.”
