Iowa man accused of biting off another man’s nose in wild fight arrested

An Iowa man is accused of biting off a man’s nose in a wild fight that turned violent after the two were kicked out of a bar, a report said.

Blayre Ward, 24, was arrested over the alleged attack that happened about 11 p.m. Saturday in the city of Dubuque, KCRG reported, citing a criminal complaint.

Another man, 20-year-old John Turner III, was also busted for the fight that began after he, Ward and two other men at Noonan’s Tap were kicked out for getting into a verbal argument there, the report said.

The feud spilled outside and turned physical, with Ward allegedly punching and knocking one man to the ground.

That victim fled into a nearby house before Ward tossed rocks at the home’s window and demanded the man come out and fight, the report said.

Meanwhile, another fracas broke out between Ward, Turner and the second victim.

Ward punched the second man and bit off most of his nose, officials said.

The second victim required surgery to reconstruct his nose, the report said.

Ward was hit with a number of charges, including assault causing bodily injury and harassment.

Turner is facing a disorderly conduct charge.
