Highlights from Thursday’s Jets practice:
Thursday was the final day of training camp. The Jets will now make their roster cuts and pickups this weekend then prepare for the Bills. With all the uncertainty entering this training camp because of COVID-19, it has to be considered a success. They lost no practices because of the virus and had barely anyone test positive.
It was a light practice, so there were not too many takeaways from it, but WR Josh Malone, who his fighting for a roster spot, had a bad drop in the corner of the end zone on a pass from Sam Darnold. He did respond with a touchdown catch afterward.

Backup QB Mike White has had an impressive training camp. He may end up losing out to David Fales to be Darnold’s backup, but it won’t be because of his camp performance. He had another good practice, highlighted by a back-shoulder throw to Le’Veon Bell.
G Alex Lewis (shoulder), WR Breshad Perriman (knee), S Marcus Maye (calf), OLB Tarell Basham (ankle), RB La’Mical Perine (ankle), OT Chuma Edoga (illness) and G Cameron Clark (knee) missed practice. S Bradley McDougald was out for personal reasons. WR Braxton Berrios (back) returned to practice.
