The lawsuit concerns the magazine’s “Catherine the Great” article. The Duchess of Cambridge is upset about how the magazine represented her family, how it discussed her children and how it referenced her weight. The Tatler article had also claimed Kate had fallen out with Meghan Markle ahead of her wedding with Prince Harry.
Kensington Palace have issued a strong rebuke of the article and labelled it as having a “swathe of inaccuracies and false representations”.
This is a highly unusual move for the princess, Kensington Palace have sent legal letters on her behalf to have the “Catherine the Great” article taken down.
Another point of contention was that the article suggested Kate feels “exhausted and trapped” by the increased workload following Harry and Meghan’s decision to step back.
The princess is said to be furious about the claims made in the article.
