LIAM Hemsworth has broken his silence on his shock split from Miley Cyrus.
The teenage sweethearts shocked fans by confirming their marriage split yesterday just seven months after tying the knot.
Today 29-year-old Liam was spotted surfing in Byron Bay to take his mind off the split.
He has been staying with his brother Chris at his £4million beach house.
After stepping out for some fresh air with a trip into town, he was quizzed about his single status.
He told a Daily Mail Australia reporter: “You don’t understand what it’s like. I don’t want to talk about it mate.”
Just hours after his break-up became public, 26-year-old Miley was snapped snogging US reality star Kaitlynn Carter, 30, on a girls’ getaway to Italy’s Lake Como.
She look determined not to let the end of her marriage get her down, as she let loose with Brody Jenner’s ex Kaitlynn.
Today a short clip emerged of Liam and Miley looking miserable as they were filmed in Solvang, California, on July 9.
Refusing to walk next to each other, gloomy Liam strides ahead while Miley is more interested in her phone as the pair appeared frosty before the break-up.
Just four weeks later it was revealed they are separating to “focus on themselves and their careers”.

Miley’s pal Kaitlynn’s ex Brody broke his silence on his ex’s snog yesterday as he posed by the edge of a cliff in an Instagram snap.
He wrote: “Don’t let yesterday take up too much of today.”
Miley also spoke out for the first time about her impending divorce, insisting her “heart is full of peace and hope”.
In a lengthy caption on Instagram, she wrote: “Don’t fight evolution, because you will never win. Like the mountain I am standing on top of , which was once under water , connected with Africa , change is inevitable.
“The Dolomites were not created over night, it was over millions of years that this magnificent beauty was formed.
“My dad always told me “ Nature never hurries but it is always on time”…. it fills my heart with peace and hope KNOWING that is true.”
She added: “I was taught to respect the planet and its process and I am committed to doing the same with my own ….”
The star followed it up with two other posts, telling fans: “Life’s a climb… but the view is great” and “New day. New adventure.”
Miley and Liam dated on-and-off for ten years after meeting while filming the movie The Last Song in 2009.
They were previously engaged in June 2012 but called time on the relationship the following year.
In 2016 they announced the engagement was back on, and their surprise nuptials took place at their home in Tennessee in December 2018.
In recent weeks they were seen without their wedding rings before confirming the split. Liam is yet to comment publicly.
“Liam and Miley have agreed to separate at this time,” a rep for Cyrus confirmed to E! and People in a statement.
“Ever-evolving, changing as partners and individuals, they have decided this is what’s best while they both focus on themselves and careers.”
The pair will still remain dedicated parents to all of their animals they share while taking time apart, the spokesman said.

The break-up comes one month after Miley revealed she is still “very attracted to women”, despite her marriage to Liam.
In a frank interview with the US edition of Elle magazine, the boundary-pushing star, 26, spoke openly about her “modern” marriage and how she isn’t a “stereotypical wife”.
The Mother’s Daughter singer, who refers to herself as ‘queer’, revealed: “I think it’s very confusing to people that I’m married. But my relationship is unique.
“And I don’t know that I would ever publicly allow people in there because it’s so complex, and modern, and new that I don’t think we’re in a place where people would get it…”

She added: “I mean, do people really think that I’m at home in a f***ing apron cooking dinner? I’m in a hetero relationship, but I still am very sexually attracted to women…
“I made a partner decision. This is the person I feel has my back the most. I definitely don’t fit into a stereotypical wife role. I don’t even like that word.”
