Liverpool ace Van Dijk and Chelsea legend John Terry spotted at Rangers’ Algarve training base

VIRGIL VAN DIJK and John Terry were both spotted at Rangers’ training base in the Algarve this morning.

It’s believed Chelsea legend Terry – a former England team-mate of Gers boss Steven Gerrard – has a house nearby and was using the same facilities as the Light Blues.

After one image of £75million star Van Dijk emerged on Twitter, some Rangers fans joked he could make a good centre-back partner for Nikola Katic.

Another quipped: “Heard we’ve had a bid accepted.”

The sight of Van Dijk preparing for the new season will excite Liverpool fans with high expectations for the upcoming campaign.

Having conquered Europe and missed out on the Premier League title by just one point, they’ll hope that Van Dijk can lead them to an even more successful campaign this time around.

The Dutchman could do worse than take a few tips from Terry as they crossed over in the Algarve.

The Chelsea legend won five Premier League titles during his time as a Blues player as well as lifting the Champions League.

Despite having hung up his boots, Terry needs to keep in shape for his role as assistant manager of Aston Villa.

His trip to the Algarve follows time spent in Dubai, where among other things he caught flying ice cream in a bowl.
