JURGEN KLOPP’S Liverpool discovered a genius loophole to the Premier League’s new rules.

Revised laws have been brought in for the 2019-20 season, which include preventing opposition players from interfering with the defensive team’s wall.

Players were regularly disrupting the wall of the team taking free-kicks in previous seasons.

So the Prem’s new rules say that when there are three or more players in a wall, no one from the opposing team can be within a metre of the wall.

But when Liverpool won a free-kick against Norwich in a dangerous position, they showed a solution to get around the new law.

As Trent Alexander-Arnold measured up his set-piece, Georginio Wijnaldum, Fabinho and Firmino positioned themselves a metre in front of the wall.

Their own wall blocked Canaries keeper Tim Krul’s vision as Alexander-Arnold’s lethal effort was struck.

One fan on social media wrote: “Liverpool just f***ed off the new wall rule”

Another said: “Liverpool with the new wall loophole. Scenes when Rashford fires the ball into Smalling’s face.”

Krul managed to palm the effort away, but the game was already lost for the newly-promoted side.

Grant Hanley’s own-goal was followed by goals from Mo Salah, Virgil van Dijk and Divock Origi.

Teemu Pukki managed to hit a consolation goal for Daniel Farke’s side with a well-taken strike midway through the second-half.
