SPORTING LISBON have agreed personal terms with Liverpool youngster Rafael Camacho ahead of a £10million move, according to reports.

Wolves and RB Leipzig were also chasing the winger, whose Reds contract expires in a year’s time.

It was against Wolves that Camacho started his only first-team game for Liverpool, playing the full 90 minutes at right-back as they were knocked out the FA Cup in January.

Instead of heading back to the Midlands, the 19-year-old is set for Portugal, as reported by Football Insider.

The offer of a five-year contract and substantial pay increase was enough to secure the Portuguese youngster despite a similar length deal on the table at Anfield.

It is expected the fee will reach £10m but no agreement between the clubs has been reported yet.

Lisbon-born Camacho came through the Sporting academy before switching to Manchester City and eventually Liverpool, in 2016.

Playing across the attack, his record of 12 goals from 20 appearances in the Premier League’s second-tier reserve league and UEFA Youth League drew plenty of attention.

But Jurgen Klopp was reluctant to drop him into a deeply competitive title race, bringing him off the bench only once – in the last minute of a 4-3 win over Crystal Palace.

Liverpool have already waved goodbye to Alberto Moreno and Daniel Sturridge this summer, making their first signing on Thursday in the form of Dutch teenager Sepp van den Berg.
