LOVE Island fans were left in hysterics tonight as host Caroline Flack insisted there’s nothing wrong with an age gap between lovers.
The star, 39, made the comments while chatting to Harley Brash and Chris Taylor about their relationship on After Sun.
She said: “There’s nothing wrong with an age gap!”
Chris, 28, and Harley, 20, got together despite their 8-year age difference.
Fans at home were howing, and took to Twitter to make their feelings known.
One wrote: “As if caroline flack said there’s nothing wrong with an age gap!”
Another said: “Did Caroline flack just say there’s ‘nothing wrong with an age gap’ shut up!!”
A third said: “caroline flack did not just say ‘there’s nothing wrong with an age gap’ after dating harry styles (17) when she was 31.”
Caroline was criticised in 2011 for her romance with One Direction heart-throb Harry Styles, then aged just 17.
And she revealed her heartache over being called Prince Harry’s “bit of rough” after the pair grew close through mutual pal Natalie Pinkham.
In 2013 she started dating music manager Jack Street. The couple became engaged but split up in 2014.
Her next big romance was her on/off romance with Andrew Brady which started in January 2019.
The couple got engaged, but by December 2018 Caroline had finally called it quits following cheating allegations.
A month later in January 19, she was reportedly spotted kissing Strictly Come Dancing’s AJ Pritchard after the National Television Awards.
Then in March 2019, The Sun exclusively revealed that the Love Island presenter was dating rugby champ Danny Cipriani.
She has also been linked to Rizzle Kicks star Jordan Stephen and Tribes frontman Johnny Llyod, however, she denied she was romancing either of them in 2012.
