The bizarre footage shows the outnumbered facing up to the group in Newcastle city centre.
He then launches a traffic cone at them, which leads to one of the stag party charging at him with a flying kick.
The kick misses the cone-thrower and the man lands on his backside.
But his pals then join in and begin crowding around the apparent aggressor.
Punches and kicks are unleashed as onlookers desperately try to break up the fight, which happened on July 27.
One witness told ChronicleLive: “One of them was telling the other lot to calm down but then the cone was thrown.
“It all kicked off – one of the Scottish lads even dropped his chicken.
“Police were called but they got there too late and it was all over.”
A Northumbria Police spokesman said the incident on Grainger Street is now closed.
“At about 12.30pm yesterday police received a report of a fight on Westgate road near The Mile Castle,” a statement from the force said.
“It was reported that around six men were involved in a fight.
“Officers attended the area but those involved have left the area.”
