MANCHESTER UNITED fans are using their injury crisis to troll Liverpool — after Jurgen Klopp complained about his side “losing rhythm” at Old Trafford.

Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s side had to use all their substitutes in the first half against their fierce rivals after a bizarre set of injuries.

Klopp said after the 0-0 draw: “It was a strange game. We started really well. All the injuries in the game cost us rhythm.

“It happened to us with Bobby [Firmino] and that was a catastrophe.

“The boys didn’t feel OK, I could see it in their faces. I was thinking ‘what is going on here today?’

“United played with a completely new midfield and three up front. We lost our rhythm and couldn’t get it back.”

And Manchester United supporters have used the comments as a opportunity to have a dig at their biggest rivals.

One Reddit user posted: “Man United have 9 players out tonight against Palace.

“This could really ruin Klopp’s rhythm against Watford.”

United currently have concerns over Ander Herrera (hamstring), Jesse Lingard (hamstring), Juan Mata (hamstring), Marcus Rashford (ankle), Nemanja Matic (muscle), Phil Jones (illness), Anthony Martial (groin), Matteo Darmian (knock), Antonio Valencia (calf) and Marcos Rojo (knock).

Another Reddit post, agreeing with the original, said: “United had to completely shift their formation and style of play in the second half and yeah, I can see how the fact that a lot of second string players performed way [above] expectations would be frustrating to them.

“Still not such good form to draw attention to it.”

Another said: “Yeah probably not something you’d want to mention to excuse your one shot on target in the whole second half.”

A third posted: “Nine players out for tonight’s game is why Gerrard slipped all those years ago.”
