The ex-England international, 44, is understood to be looking for buyers after he moved out from the home in Hale, Greater Manchester.

It comes after Daily Star Online exclusively revealed the Manchester United legend had been arrested on suspicion of assault.

He was apprehended on April 16 at his home before being released on bail.

A Greater Manchester Police spokeswoman previously told Daily Star Online: “Police were called at around 2pm on Tuesday 16 April, 2019, to reports that a woman had been assaulted at a house in Hale.

His wife Shelley has continued to live in the home with the couple’s two children.

A sales brochure seen by the publication described their home as a “stunning, detached family residence” with two main reception rooms, leisure suite, swimming pool, six bedrooms and seven bathrooms.

The pair forked out £4.4million for the home in 2007, one year before they tied the knot.

Butt was part of Man Utd’s famous Class of ’92 that helped steer the club to consistent glory under Sir Alex Ferguson.

He is still the head of the Manchester United academy and is co-owner of Salford City FC.
