MARIO BALOTELLI is on the verge of a move to Brazil with a free transfer to Flamengo.
It is said the notorious striker will complete the switch once the final paperwork is processed on a two-and-a-half year deal.
Heading across the Atlantic after being released by Marseille, Balotelli will reportedly bank more than £14million over the course of his South American stint.
La Gazzetta dello Sport believe the deal to 2021 is close with the player’s weekly wage topping £108,000-a-week.
West Ham and Serie A side Fiorentina have also been linked with Balotelli, who hit eight goals in 12 games at Marseille after terminating his Nice contract to join the club.
He left the French Riviera after the team failed to qualify for Europe.
But his time in Ligue 1 certainly reinvigorated his career.
Discarded by Liverpool after enduring a quiet loan spell at AC Milan, Balotelli signed for Nice in 2016 and hit top form in his two full years there.
