Former Prime Minister Theresa May argued that the aviation industry was critical for “Global Britain” post coronavirus and post-Brexit. During Boris Johnson’s speech on Monday afternoon in the House of Commons, he outlined the way in which the country would slowly move out of lockdown. While commending the move to open schools on March 8, Ms May insisted closer attention needed to be paid to the aviation industry.

She said claimed the industry needed more certainty going forward in order to prepare and ensure the success of the sector.
