Stunning photos and video footage show the first glimpse inside Beaconsfield Farm, a historic farm estate in Great Tew, the Cotswolds, which is undergoing renovation work to reach the Royal standard. The Roman property in Great Tew near Chipping Norton, Oxfordshire, where Victoria and David Beckham have also built themselves a country retreat, will boast a treatment room, gallery, lounge, gym, yoga studio and two guest quarters.

The picturesque property is round the corner from the glamorous and exclusive Soho Farmhouse hotel, where Meghan is thought to have hosted a special spa-themed bridal shower ahead of her 2018 Royal Wedding to Prince Harry.

Grade-II listed Beaconsfield Farm consists of a farmhouse and several farm buildings along with the remains of a precious Roman Villa monument.

The idyllic Cotswolds rural retreat is believed to be where Meghan Markle and Prince Harry, who are currently living in LA following their sensational exit from the Royal Family, will base themselves when they are in the UK.

A source told The Sun: “This house will be their bolthole when they are in the UK.

“It is costing around £3million and will be on the opposite side of the Farmhouse to the small house being built for the Beckhams.”

It is thought moving to the Cotswolds will give Meghan the chance to build up a network of celebrity friends.

The barn area will have three separate wings housing a treatment room, gallery, lounge, gym, yoga studio and two guest quarters.

And the former pigsties are being converted into ‘high quality stables’.

A royal source previously told how the Duke and Duchess of Sussex fell in love with the area.

They said: “The Duke and Duchess especially the Duchess love Oxfordshire and have become very attracted to it with its peaceful setting and tranquillity.

“The surrounding countryside is fantastic.

“The area has a very special place in the couple’s hearts and they are looking for a property in the Great Tew area that’s affordable and can be used as a countryside retreat.

Great Tew, roughly 5 miles from the north-east of Chipping Norton, is said to have a population of roughly 156.

Meghan and Harry are currently residing in LA with their one-year-old son Archie Harrison during the coronavirus pandemic.

The couple quit the Royal Family on March 31 for a new life in America.

They have set up home in Beverley Hills where they have thrown themselves into volunteering work to help the vulnerable during the COVID-19 crisis.
