Republic campaigns for the monarchy to be abolished and Queen Elizabeth II to be replaced with an elected, democratic head of state. Graham Smith, the organisation’s CEO, told Express.co.uk that the Duke and Duchess of Sussex have £30million in the bank and will be able to earn a huge income off that alone.
Mr Smith said: “Harry and Meghan have got £30million plus in the bank.
“They will have a huge income just on that alone, they can do whatever any wealthy person does best and use their money to generate income.
“I am sure they will have some pulling power and some earning power as speakers and so on.
“How they do it is entirely up to them, if they are living in a small two bedroom attached house and are earning $30,000 a year then there is no shame in that.”

Earlier this week it was announced that the Duke and Duchess of Sussex have agreed terms on a partnership with Netflix.
Sky News’ royal correspondent Rhiannon Mills argued the Duke and Duchess of Sussex have formed an ideal partnership with Netflix that will allow them to tell their own stories on an international platform.
However, the royal expert also highlighted questions will be asked about how much experience Meghan Markle and Prince Harry really have in the process of TV production and how much the streaming service will be paying the couple.
Meghan and Harry are hoping to become financially independent after stepping down for their senior royal roles.
“I think for them in a way this is an ideal partnership.
“It gives them a platform to talk about those issues, those platforms, those causes that matter to them and that has been the big problem for them in the past.”
She continued: “That is why in some ways they felt constrained by the Royal Family, that is why they wanted to step away.
“This allows them now to tell their own story and have a huge international platform.”
